This will be my second year owning my own preschool but I have been working in childcare professionally for the past 8 years. I have been a full-time nanny for very high profile families all around the country, while I was a nanny in Hawaii for two years I started teaching part-time at the top private preschool and kindergartens in all of the islands. That is where I fell in love with teaching, I was lucky enough to work very closely with the head of the preschool and she taught me so much about child education and how to be the best child educator. When I decided it was time to move back home I was offered a full-time position at this preschool but I turned it down to move back to little old South Weber where I was born and raised. When I moved back I applied at Preschool’s all over in the area where I worked for close to a year while taking many child development courses and well as courses in Montessori. After working for these preschools I just never found one that I felt taught the children to the best of their ability as well as to mine, so I was offered a full-time position in Chicago for a high profile family to nanny their 3-year-old twins as well as provide them with full preschool days in their home. I moved to Chicago for just over a year and loved being able to teach my own curriculum mixed with Montessori. I decided to move back to Utah and open my own preschool, so here we are.
